DALLAS — Pit bull prestige was on the line this
weekend in Denton, where canines huffed and
puffed their way to glory.
More than 300 pit bull terriers participated Satur
day and Sunday in the American Dog Breeders As
sociation National Pull & Confirmation Show.
The national competition is the only event recog
nized by the Guinness Book of World Records
setting record weight pulled by a dog, said Edfii
kle, president of the Texoma American PitBuUIa
er Club.
A pet named Invincible won his weight divisa
by pulling 4,006 pounds about 15 feet - in tests
60 seconds.
"He dragged 70 pounds a mile every day fa
month to get here/' said owner Rick KunzeotTiils
Okla. "It's difficult to wear him out."
