It definitely won't be this year, and it probably won't be next year, but, in the near future, Tony Barone will have himself a quality basketball team that will contend in the Southwest Conference. Who'd have thought the Lady Aggies would beat the seemingly invincible Texas Lady Longhorns in volleyball this year. A&M broke Texas' 69-game conference winning streak. I hope I live long enough to see the day when the Cubs win a World Series. Arkansas finished 6-5 in a Southwest Conference that was not good enough for the Razor- backs. Imagine now well they will perform in the rough and tumble Southeastern Conference. If the world were perfect, Nolan Ryan would always lead the Rangers to a World Series, Lar ry Bird would always lead the Celtics to the NBA title, and Tom Landry would always lead the Cowboys to the Super Bowl. It feels really good to beat Texas.
