It is time to decorate the tree, buy presents for your friends and make up the Christmas list. The Christmas list is an intricate part of the holidays. And this year, instead of asking for a lot of things for myself. I've decided to ask Santa for those things that should benefit all of mankind. So here goes. •The elves need to work extra hard and assure the Dallas Cowboys a spot in the playoffs. I've asked San ta Claus to please give two losses to the Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons ans San Fran cisco 49ers in their last two games of the season. That way the Cowboys would be given a place in the play offs. And they can't win the Super Bowl if they don't make it to the play offs, so this wish goes high on the list. •Please let the Aggies beat Florida State University in the Cotton Bowl. This is another high priority wish. If the Aggies beat FSU and a couple of other teams lose, A&M could end up in the top five in the final football polls. That would be a nice gift to find under the tree. •Santa, don't give us another split national championship in football. He wants to be ready for the Seminoles when Jan. 1 comes. The Aggies and Florida State square off in the 1992 Cotton Bowl. "The Cotton Bowl is not like any other game I've played in," Atkinson said. "This will be the most important game I've ever played in my life. I've been watching film for almost two weeks, and once we play them I will have watched films for a month. "I will have seen every game they've played all season two or three times." And Atkinson hopes his studies pay off. The Seminoles run a screen play that Atkinson said he has been paying close attention to during film sessions. The play is called a crack screen. FSU quarterback Casey Weldon takes a short drop and then throws the ball to a wide receiver on the weak side of the field. Atkinson's job is to get past the block of an offensive lineman and hit the receiver as soon as he gets the ball. Atkinson isn't the only defensive player with a dream. Sophomore defensive end Lance Te- ichelman wants more than just a tackle. "I'd like to sack the quarterback and strip the ball and run it in for a touch down," Teichelman said. "That's every defensive lineman's dream." Whether or not Teichelman gets his wish, he said he does have some words of advice for the fifth-ranked Seminoles. "They do have a lot of big-time play ers, but I think we match up well with them," Teichelman said. "We've got good players. "But it isn't going to happen. We're going to come in fighting. We want to win this one more than anything." Teichelman said it doesn't matter that the Seminoles don't regard the Aggies as highly as other teams in the country. "There won't be any relaxation on our part," he said. "I know to them, we're only 'Texas A&M' and they've never heard of us. That's fine. I love all that."
