This year AggieCon will have an auction
to benefit the Science Fiction Writers of
America Medical Fund.
"In the past year, several authors have
gotten sick, and they have no steady source
of funding for the emergency medical fund,
so we feel this is a way to help them out,"
Blaschke says.
Books, needlework, artwork and a variety
of other collectable items will be auctioned
off.
Tickets for AggieCon can be purchased at
Rudder box office for $13 for A&M students,
$16 for non-students and $6 for children.
One-day passes also are available.

for a long time," Rep. Larry
Evans, D-Houston, said Mon
day. "My great-great uncle was
hanged (in the late 1800s) in cen
tral Texas. When my mother told
me about that, it left an impres
sion. It forces us to answer some
basic questions on how we gen-
r feel about it."
