Woman shot to death while tracking husband HOUSTON (AP) — A woman who tracked her husband to a ren dezvous with an alleged paramour was slain when she broke into the wrong house, officials said. New judge to begin next year, help decrease criminal caseload AUSTIN (AP) — A new federal judge will set up office in the U.S. Courthouse by next summer or fall, according to federal Judge James Nowlin, whose docket has been clogged with criminal cases for the past four years. “I’m looking forward to a great improvement when the new judge is sworn in,” Nowlin, Austin’s only full time federal judge, said. “Because of the criminal caseload, I’m seldom able to reach a civil case as fast as I want to. Nowlin has 653 cases pending in his court, 117 criminal and 536 civil. Congress last month approved money for the hiring of a second federal judge, whose job is granted for life. Priscilla Brayboy was shot to death by a homeowner early Sunday when she forced her way into a house where she believed her husband was having an affair, Harris County Sheriffs Department Sgt. A man inside the home heard the commotion and armed himself with a shotgun, Williams said. As Mrs. Brayboy lunged through the door, the man shot her, the officer said. When Mrs. Brayboy’s friend saw what had happened, she ran down the street screaming and noticed an other gray Volvo parked in another driveway a few houses away. The woman went to that house and found Joe Brayboy inside, Williams said. Mrs. Brayboy was taken by Life Flight helicopter to Hermann Hos pital, where she was pronounced dead at 1:37 a.m. The homeowner who did the shooting was questioned and re leased, Williams said.
