The Department of biochemistry at Baylor College
of Medicine is expanding its graduate and postgra
duate training program. We offer a broad spectrum
of research opportunities including structural bi-
ophysics, protein design and engineering, macro-
molecular assembly, biological recognition, devel
opmental biology, molecular genetics and
regulation, neurobiochemistry and molecular im
munology. Our research funding exceeds 4 million
dollars annually. Since many of our research pro
grams are highly interdisciplinary, we would like to
encourage students from biology, chemistry, phys
ics, engineering and computer science to apply for
admission to our program. The annual stipend is
$12,000, plus a tuition scholarship for graduate stu
