A&M vocal groups perform Saturday
A “Choral Extravaganza” will be
presented Saturday, Nov. 4 by seve
ral A&M vocal groups including the
Women’s Chorus, the Reveliers,
Century Singers and Singing Cadets.
The concert will last from 9 a.m.
to 11 a.m. and will take place in the
Memorial Student Center Flag
Room. The Women’s Chorus will
open the concert and each group
will perform for about 30 minutes.
Jess Wade, director of the Wom
en’s Chorus and the Century Sing
ers, said the Women’s Chorus will
perform some Bette Midler and
Whitney Houston medleys during
their show.
The Reveliers, an eight-member
vocal jazz group, will follow the
Women’s Chorus.
The Century Singers follow the
Reveliers and will perform a medley
of Broadway tunes, Wade said. The
Singing Cadets are scheduled to per
form last.
Todd Oberg, a member of the
Singing Cadets, said the group will
perform tunes ranging from A&M
songs to pop tunes, oldies and patri
otic themes.
