With an estimated 600,000visitors
expected to flock to the Texas State
Aquarium annually, its economic im
pact to the area is expected to be

In the original plans, the city was
to provide a site on the People
Street T-head at no cost to the aquar
ium association. However, pubis

One was a plan unveiled in 1983
by Bayfront Associates to developaa
eight-acre commercial landmass
north of the Peoples Street T-Head

that,” Whitten said. “Repp has
