The following incidents were
reported to the University Police
Department from Nov. 15
through Thursday:
MISDEMEANOR THEFT:
• A student reported that
someone stole her moped, which
was parked on campus.
• One backpack and two bicy
cles were stolen from various lo
cations around campus.
• Officers arrested a Bryan
resident for a previous theft of a
bicycle from Walton Hall.
• A student reported that
someone stole the validation
sticker from his car’s license plate.
• Someone stole a camcorder
from the Southern Crops Labo
ratory.
BURGLARY:
• A Cain Hall resident re
ported that someone entered his
locked room and stole his video
cassete recorder
A Texas A&M shuttle bus hit a
University truck from behind while
driving north on Coke Street Tues
day.
Officer John Mann of the Univer
sity Police Department said no se
rious injuries occurred in the acci
dent.
However, one of the three bus
passengers was given a routine check
to look for minor neck injuries, he
said.

car while it was parked on Hensel
Drive. Another student reported
that later that night, someone
slashed two tires on his car, which
was parked on Avenue B.

dicate a turn in the wrong direc
tion.

someone broke the taillight of her
car.

that smoke was coming from a
room in Aston Hall, officers dis
covered that three students had
set off gunpowder. The officers
found that a shotgun was being
stored in the room by one ol the
occupants.

Dr. Robert D. Baker, a professor in the Department of Forest
Science, has been elected to the position of Fellow in the So
ciety of the American Foresters. The Society of American For
esters elect a small number of distinguished members to the po
sition of Fellow each year.
Students
The Resident Advisor Staff Council has named Ellen East the
Resident Advisor of the month and Todd Montgomery Resi
dent Director of the month.
Four Texas A&M students received scholarships from the M. D.
Anderson Cancer Center’s Pediatric Christmas Card Center.
They are:
Elizabeth R. Froneberger, an education major from Dickin
son; Brenda R. Hayes, a sociology major from Fort Worth; Leigh
Ann Robertson, an agricultural economics major from Bryan;
Jeffrey G. Warhol, an applied math and computer science major
from Athens, Texas.
