Weather Watch Kay: £ m Lightning == - Fog it - Thunderstorms • • -Rain ** - Snow - Drizzle yCS. m Ice Pellets - Rain Shower • - Freezing Rain Sunset Today: 5:56 p.m. Sunrise Thursday: 7:18 a.m. Map Discussion: High pressure is the "weather word” for the Southwest, the Central and the Southwestern states; however, the thrust of arctic air on the leading side of the high over Northern Alabama poses the likelihood of freezing temperatures into Florida again tonight. The return of moisture and a pacific front to the West Coast will produce precipitation from Central California to Montana while a stationary front will enhance widely scattered snowshowers from Kansas to Eastern Montana. Forecast: Today through Thursday. Fair with high temperatures in the low to mid 60s, a low Thursday morning near 40 degreees. Light southerly winds will prevail throughout the period. No precipitation is expected. Weather Fact. Brown snow — simply snow intermixed with dust particles. A common phenomenon in many parts of the world. Snows of other colors, such as red and yellow, are similarly explainable.
