It also looks like the Cotton Bowl guest team has already been signed, sealed and will be delivered on Sat urday when Notre Dame makes it official. Official invitations can’t go out until next Saturday but the Cotton Bowl officials have seen four straight Notre Dame games. Both A&M and Texas have one loss each with two games left includ ing tough tests this Saturday. The Aggies are at Fort Worth to meet hard-luck Texas Christian which lost by a point to Texas Tech two weeks ago then by three points to the Longhorns on Saturday. After plastering Arkansas with its first shutout since 1983 with a 14-0 victory on Saturday, the Aggies meet TCU in a noon (Raycom TV) clash. Texas, a 24-21 survivor over the Horned Frogs, hosts the Baylor Bears in a 1 p.m. game in Austin. Baylor outlasted Rice 34-31 in Waco on Saturday. Texas Tech also has a bowl bid on the line when it meets Houston Sat urday night in the Astrodome with the Independence Bowl scouts in the press box. Houston dropped Temple 37-7 in a non-conference game while the Red Raiders rested.
