Faculty Senate to discuss study facilities
The planning committee of the
Faculty Senate will discuss the
problem of adequate study facili
ties at a Faculty Senate meeting at
3 p.m. Monday in 701 Rudder.
Dr. Donald Dyal, chairman of
the planning committee and head
of special collections at Sterling C.
Evans Library, said there isn’t
enough adequate study space for
students on campus.
“We would like to see study
lounges available — even empty
classrooms at night,” Dyal said.
The Senate agenda also in
cludes further discussion of the
core curriculum and reports
from standing committees.
Also on the agenda, the bylaws
committee is scheduled to ask
outgoing chairmen of all standing
committees to serve as ex-officio
members to provide continuity in
the committees, said Dr. Barbara
Thomas, a member of the bylaws
committee.
