The suspect — identified as Frank Stewart, 37, of Corsicana — shot himself in the right temple and later died, Detective Keith Sykes said. One of the victims was identified as Stewart’s estranged wife, Brenda Stewart. Navarro County Sheriffs Sgt. Harry Drain said tne gunman went to a business on the outskirts of town and shot and killed his former boss. Drain identified the business as Hulcher Services Inc. He then took a company truck and went to the Western Sizzlin’ steakhouse, where his wife was a manager. He entered brandishing two pistols, threatened the assistant manager, fired several shots into the air and left without injuring anyone, Drain said. With police in pursuit, the gun man then drove to his wife’s mobile home. There he killed a man with 10 shots and then killed his wife, said Justice of the Peace Badie Stewart, who is not related to the suspect. Po lice said the gunman then stepped outside and shot himself in the head. Police Sgt. Lewis Palos said, "He was probably despondent. I don’t know what — loss of job, estrange ment of wife. We just don’t know yet.” Stewart had worked at Hulcher until a few weeks ago, Palos said. No other people were injured in the shootings, which began shortly before 2 p.m. and ended about a half-hour later. Neighbors said Stewart often wore fatigues. “(He) was into that Army stuff bad,” neighbor Judy Brown said. “He always wore camouflage.” She said Stewart was referred to by his neighbors as Rambo. Sykes said all three of the shooting victims suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He said Stewart used a .22- caliber automatic revolver and a .38- caliber handgun in the killings. | AUSTIN (a: volunteers pick tons of debris or ing a recent deanup, Land C ||(auro said Tue: ■ “Saturday aft< Eme in many beaches of T Mauro said.“U changing right brings another 1< ■ Sixteen Te> cleaned Satuixk Texas Coastal I by the General 1 ■enter for En> don. College Skaggs Center In all the Information being circulated about clinic-based health plans, a few facts may have escaped your attention. For instance, HMO advertising seldom mentions the limitations imposed on your ability to see any physician you choose. Or that these HMO plans offer no dental coverage whatsoever. Little emphasis is given to the sparse provisions such plans make for psychiatric services, or the strict limits imposed on elective surgery. Texas A&M employees are rarely told they will be required to surrender their PCS Card if they drop their present insurance to join a health plan. Nothing is said about the limitations on hospitals such plans cover. Or about what these plans won't cover: things like physica; you may need to obtain a job or a life insurance policy, psychological testing yci| child may need for school, even the blood you may require during surgery. In fact, one prominent health plan excludes 18 specific areas of health care from its coverage, So if the promise of a single monthly premium that covers all your family's health care costs sounds too good to be true...perhaps it is. Just be sure you know of the facts before you trade your proven medical insurance for the latest trend in health care delivery.
