Body of missing clerk found behind house a i mc
SULPHUR SPRINGS (AP) — The body of a
motel clerk who had been discovered missing
from her overnight job at 5:15 a.m. Sunday was
found about four hours later behind a vacant
house in this Northeast Texas town, authorities
said.
Rena Lyne White, 36, apparently died from a
single gunshot wound to the head, Police Chief
Donnie Lewis said.
White was a clerk at the Best Western Motel,
where $400 was also reported missing, the chief
added.
Sulphur Springs is a town of 13,000, about 90
miles northeast of Dallas.

Lewis said authorities had few clues. Investiga

convenience store clerk who also had an over
