Doug Beall
Mechanical Engineering
Howdy, my name is Doug Beall
and I am seeking re-election for
senior yell leader. I am from
Waco, Texas and studying
mechanical engineering, and
presently active in the Corps of
Cadets as well as Fish Camp '87.
The responsibilities of being a
yell leader require dedication
and work. I feel that my
experience this year will better
prepare me to lead the Twelfth
Man during the 1987-88 school
year.
I am looking forward to
leading the Twelfth Man to
another Cotton Bowl and to a
national championship. GIG
John Bean
Recreation and Parks
Howdy, my name is John Bean
and I am seeking re-election for
senior yell leader. I am a junior
recreation and parks major from
Devine, Texas and currently a
member of the Corps of Cadets.
A yell leader exemplifies
Aggie spirit everywhere. 1 feel
my experience as junior yell
leader will help me to do a great
job as senior yell leader.
I’m looking forward to
leading the Twelfth Man in yells
once again and the Aggies to
another Cotton Bowl.
Howdy, my name is Kevin
Buchanan and I want to be your
next senior yell leader. Being a
yell leader has been a goal which
I have pursued since my
freshman year and I would be
honored to serve the Twelfth
Man in this capacity.
Being a student and cadet for
three years has allowed me first
hand knowledge and
experiences of what it means to
be an Aggie, and I realize what a
responsibility that the yell
leaders have in portraying this
positive image to the public.
I consider it a privilege to
serve the Twelfth Man and I
look forward to leading you in
the fall. Gig ’em.
Howdy Aggies, I’m excited
about this chance to give
something back to Texas A&M.
1 have remained active
throughout my years here being
a member of various
organizations including Town
Hall and Fish Camp. I have
wanted to be a yell leader all mv
life, but I feel that is not
justification to ask you to vote
for me. What has always made
A&M unique and what will make
it great in the future is unity.
That’s what ail our traditions
and spirit stems from.
1 would work as yell leader to
represent all of A&M, and try to
build on the feeling of unity that
lured all of us to this little town
in the middle of Texas. Listen
Aggies! When we’ve lost what
makes us special.
I love what A&M is and what
A&M can become. Please show
you care too, and vote
Wednesday. Thank you.
David Mendoza
Computer Science
HOWDY! My name is David
Kevin Buchanan Craig Meek
Economics Psychology
Mendoza, but friends call me
“Diamond Dave.” I am a junior
computer science major from
Beaumont, Texas, and I’m
running for senior yell leader.
I’ve spent most of my college
career helping fellow Aggies and
sharing my Aggie Spirit by
serving as a Fish (lamp
counselor, and a peer advisor
and the director tor t ransfer
Camp. I feel I’ve represented
A&M well in my activities and
will continue to do so if I am
elected.
I’ve always wanted to be a yell
leader. In Downtown Dallas on
New Year’s Eve, a great number
of Aggies around us couldn’t
find yell practice. Not willing to
let everyone leave disappointed,
I stood on a concrete pillar and
led a yell practice.
I’ve got experience.
I’ve got AGGIE SPIRIT.
I love A&M.
And I’d appreciate your vote!

Matt Sellers
Civil Engineering
Howdy, my name is Matt Sellers
and I am running for the office
of senior yell leader. I am a civil
engineering major from Dallas,
Texas.
Texas A&M is a school filled
with tradition, spirit and great
pride. A yell leader should see to
it that the spirit and tradition
which sets our university apart
from the others is upheld.
Being an Aggie means a lot to
me. I would be honored to
represent this university as a
senior yell leader and to help
preserve that “special
something' that bonds all Aggies
together.
