Being in a band isn’t all it’s cracked
up to be. For example, The Hollow
Men, pictured on our cover, have to
practice in a rented storage warehouse
because the neighbors didn’t quite
understand concept behind “louder is
better.”
But it ain’t all bad. This issue
features a behind-the-scenes look at
local bands and their music.

So, ya wanna be in a
rock n’ roll band? So
did Sneaky Pete.
That’s him in the
lower left corner of the
photo, along with the
Neon Madmen.
Sneaky Pete also
wanted to be a cell bi
ologist. He’s one of
several local profes-
sionals-turned-musi-
cians we included in
our list of people who
keep the music scene
alive and kicking in
College Station.
