The Aggies were ranked fourth in the region and Louisiana State was ranked fifth before the match. “LSU played so poorly against Texas (Friday) that they came out and took it out on us,” Givens said. Givens said he doesn’t know if A&M will have a shot at an NCAA bid. “Some people seem to think we do, I’m not real sure,” he said. “I feel if we get a bid we’ll have to travel,” Givens said. “We won’t get to host. It’s a tremendous advantage to play at home.” The Aggies’ last regular season game is Thursday in Austin against the University of Texas. “If we could get a win there we could pretty much sew up a spot in the NCAAs,” Givens said. Coach A1 Givens The Longhorns (23-4) have locked up a Southwest Conference Championship and are ranked fifth in the nation. “Anything can happen whoB match up A&M and Texas, (cost said. “No one believes we a Kin How probable is it? 1 don’tknottbe :he “Everyone would havetobeifeocl top of their game."
