6 Maj. William Fuller Class of ’57 MIA: Aug. 25,1967 KIA: May 16,1973 Fuller attended pilot train ing and was an instructor at Laughlin Air Force Base. He was an instructor in the First class to fly T-38 aircraft. In 1967 he was reassigned to Cam Ranh Bay, South Viet nam, Hying F-4C aircraft. On Aug. 25, the pilot of another aircraft saw Fuller’s aircraft ex plode. No evidence has ever been found. ★ Lt. Michael Dunn Class of ’63 MIA: Jan. 26,1968 KIA: Nov. 26,1973 No other information is available. ★ Capt. Ronald Forrester Class of ’69 MIA: Dec. 27,1972 KIA: Sept. 8,1978 Forrester majored in civil engineering. Before being based at Royal Air Base, Thailand, he was sta tioned at Pensacola Naval Air Station, Fla. and at Marine Corps Air Station in Cherry Point, N.C. The report of his disappear ance said Forrester’s plane was hit while on a mission to take out a bridge near Dong Hoi, an industrialized North Vietnam ese city. The report said one pilot was killed and one was captured, but it is not known which of these was Forrester. Murray Wortham Class of ’65 MIA: Dec. 30,1967 KIA: May 13,1973 Wortham majored in ac counting. His F-4C jet aircraft went down on Dec. 30, 1967 in Laos during a night mission. Dennis Graham Class of ’63 MIA: March 28,1968 KIA: Feb. 15,1974 A business administration major, Graham disappeared while flying an F-l 11A aircraft on his third mission in North Vietnam. He had been at Royal Thai Air Base, Thailand for only three weeks. He was previously stationed at Reese Air Force Base, Elgin Air Force Base, Fla. and Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. Graham’s decorations in clude the Silver Star, the Dis tinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal and a Purple Heart with three oak leaf clusters.★ Lt. Luna later was transferred to Randolph Air Force Base. In 1968 he volunteered for service in Vietnam. He was sta tioned at Ubon, Thailand. Luna was flying a mission in Laos when his radio quit work ing. A pilot flying in different territory asked Luna to re spond to a series of questions with three clicks of his trans mitter. Luna signified he was returning to base, but didn’t show up by the appointed time. A search was started, but Luna was never found. Greg Hartness Class of ’60 MIA: Nov. 26,1968 KIA: July 1,1980 Hartness attended Texas A&M for one year and worked toward an engineering degree. Before going to Vietnam, he was stationed at Hahn Air Base, Germany. Hartness’ CO-2 aircraft was shot down during a night re connaissance mission. The co pilot bailed out of the plane and said he thought Hartness had followed him, but he could not be sure because there was no moon. Robert Wilke Class of ’65 MIA: Jan. 17,1968 KIA: May 5,1978 Wilke attended Texas A&M as a graduate student in com puter science. Wilke was assigned to the 602nd Fighter Commando Squadron and flew an A-IE aircraft. Wilke was shot down 47 miles southwest of Hanoi while checking on a pilot who was on the ground. Wilke’s decorations include the Air Force Cross, the Distin guished Flying Cross, the Air Medal with 12 oak leaf clusters, the Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars.★ Lt. Col. Donald Luna Class of ’60 MIA: Feb. 1,1969 KIA: Nov. 29,1978 Luna attended Texas A&M for one year. After completing pilot train Capt. Neal Ward Class of ’67 MIA: June 13,1969 KIA: June 20,1978 Ward graduated with an an imal science degree. He earned his wings at Webb Air Force Base, Tx. in June 1968. Ward was stationed at Nakhon Phanom, Thailand, and flew 85 missions before his A-IE aircraft was shot down during combat near Ban-Ban, Laos on June 13, 1969. Henry Mundt II Class of ’64 MIA: May 8,1969 KIA: April 17,1979 Mundt earned an account ing degree and was working on his master’s. He trained at Reese Air Force Base, Tx. and at Davis-Montham Air Force Base, Ariz. A pilot of an F-4C Phantom aircraft, he was shot down while on a mission over Laos. Mundt’s decorations include the Purple Heart and the Air Force Medal with an oak leaf cluster.* Col. William Campbell Class of ’52 MIA: Jan. 29,1969 KIA: June 8,1978 Campbell majored in agri cultural economics. Before be ing sent overseas, his assign ments in Texas included Reese Air Force Base, James Conley Air Force Base and Dyess Air Force Base. When he disappeared, he was flying an F-4 Phantom air craft out of Ubon, Thailand. Another pilot saw Campbell’s plane hit by anti-aircraft Fire and crash into a mountain.The pilot said he was not sure whether anyone was able to parachute out.
