He said the project was com pleted in three months. “It has been on the road for al most three years,” Angulo said. The exhibit has been all over Texas, he said. The Battle of San Jacinto, in which Texas won its independence from Mexico by defeating General Santa Anna’s army, is featured in a descriptive text and painting. Santa Anna is called the “Napoleon of the West” in the description of the fa mous battle. Kass Prince, acting director of the Arts Council of Brazos Valley, said Houston was given the name Raven by Cherokee Indians when he was a boy.
