Fashion station 4 Calvert 6 Dear Readers: Last week; while most of you were basking on the beach; we visited Calvert; Teyas f right outside of Hearne. It s a beautiful old town that looks like all old towns are supposed to but rarely do. It s a perfect place for an Easter picnic or just a drive to see the blue bonnets. As an added treat; neyt weekend; during the town’s home tour; private residences will be open to the public. Hope you enjoy At Ease. Have a good weekend. Bill and Tricia Movie Review 3 Reviewer Matt Diedrich is back from “Brazil” and off to see “Gung Ho.” Join us and see how gung ho he’s about it. Gas station fashion 4 Snobbish as it sounds, most of us don’t shop for a high-fashion wardrobe in Hearne, especially not in a Texaco. But Dee and Ann Weatherford are putting their gas station fashions on the map with commuter customers and students, too. Staff writer Nancy Feigenbaum takes us for a visit. The town that time forgot? 6 At least that’s what some of the residents of Calvert think about their town. The Victorian ambiance of the little town on High way 6 escaped what most of us consider progress. With its his toric homes and shops, Calvert is the self-proclaimed “Antique Capital of Texas.” Join Tricia Parker for a visit.
