The agreement, recently ap proved by the Federal Energy Regu latory Commission, was announced by company officials in El Paso Wednesday. Under the settlement, El Paso Natural Gas no longer will pay costly overriding royalties to Conoco Inc. and Tenneco Oil Co., and will give up ownership of expensive petro leum “liquids” to the two oil compa nies. But El Paso Natural Gas will continue to buy gas from the prop erties for its interstate natural gas system.
