Alien Baby by James Bettison Variation is the theme 56 paintings with stylistically little in com mon. That comprises the Houston Museum of Fine Art’s exhibit entitled Fresh Paint: The Flouston School. The exhibit will be on view through April 7 in the Museum’s Cullinan Hall and Andrews Gallery. Presented in the exhibi tion are 44 artists “whose personal visions and independent styles have been significantly in fluenced by living and working in Houston.” Centrifugal Orbit by Dorothy Hood was painted in 1984. An oil on canvas, it is 10 feet wide and 8 feet tall. Sharon Kopriva painted The Bad, Ugly, Proud and Disconcerned in 1983. It measures 8 feet, 2 inches wide and 6 feet tall and is mixed media on canvas. La Creadon was painted in 1984 by Luis Fer nando Garza. Painted with enamel and oil on masonite, it is 4 feet wide and 5 feet, 6 inches tall. Made of mixed media on terry cloth, Alien Baby consists of four panels (one shown).
