Police persist in hunt
for gun used in killing

HOUSTON — Houston police in
vestigating last week’s slayings of
four/members of the same family
were continuing their hunt Tuesday
for the weapon used in the killings.
Reginald Lewis, 20, was held in
police custody all weekend for ques
tioning about the slayings of his fa
ther, mother and two brothers in
their southwest Houston home. He
was released Monday.
Lewis was taken into custody Fri
day and police obtained permission
from a judge to detain him without
charges until late Monday morning.
Early Friday, Lewis discovered the
