Kidnapping suspect
might be in the state

WASHINGTON — The FBI
Thursday placed Christopher
Wilder, a photographer who al
legedly lures his victims with
promises of modeling jobs; on
its list of “Ten Most Wanted Fu
gitives” for allegedly kidnap
ping as many as seven women.
At an unusual news confer
ence to announce the action,
FBI Official Oliver Revell de
scribed Wilder as “a continuing
active menace” who is believed
to be heading west. The FBI
said his abandoned 1973 Chrys-
tler was discovered Thursday in
Winnie.
Wilder, 39, an Australian-
born photographer whose iden
tity has been known for less
than a month, was described by
an FBI spokesman as “a badly
wanted fugitive.”
He is wanted for the kidnap
ping of a Tallahassee, Fla.,
woman who was abducted on
March 20 from a shopping
mall, and raped arid tortured.
The woman managed to escape
in Bainbridge, Ga., and pro
vided authorities with their first;
description of Wilder.
Revell said Wilder also is a
suspect in the disappearances of
six other women.
“We have reason to believe
he is extremely active, and very
dangerous,” Revell said.
Revell said Wilder is known
to randomly approach young
women in shopping malls and
business areas, and to try to per
suade them to accompany him
for photo sessions. .
If Wilder is responsible for
the other six disappearances,
Revell said, it would be a “classic
case of serial murders, sexually
motivated.” The FBI has been
focusing on serial murderers,
those who travel from city to
city selecting their victims based
on common characteristics.
Wilder is a suspect in the dis
appearance of Michele Korf-
man, who was last seen at a
shopping mall Sunday in Las
Vegas.
The mustachioed amateur
photographer failed to appear
in court in Manly, Australia,
Tuesday to face charges in the
kidnap-assault of two girls, 12. _
The first abduction of which
Wilder is suspected occurred
Feb. 26 in Miami, Fla., when
Rosario Gonzalez was kidnap
ped. She has not been seen
since.
On March 23, Terry Diane
Walden was abducted at Beau
mont. Her body was found in
an irrigation ditch.
Last Thursday, Sheryl Lynn
Bonaventura was kidnapped
from a shopping mall in Grand
Junction, Colo. She has not
been found.

Financial Planner You’ll consolidate,
analyze, prepare and present financial
data for monthly forecast reviews for a

analysis and other management studies
will be involved.
Systems Analyst Position requires
performing management systems
development, modeling, financial
analysis and computer programming for
an integrated circuit production depart
ment. You’ll design, develop and imple
ment customer systems and act as an
interface with department and corporate
management systems activities.
Cost Engineer You’ll prepare monthly
P&L statements, management reports
and presentations. Responsibilities
include preparation of analysis of pro
duct line cost information for a broad
range of integrated circuit products,
using a standard cost system. You must
establish labor, overhead, material usage
and yield factors to develop standard costs.
Production Planner You’ll be respon
sible for monitoring sales backlog and
developing production schedules for
integrated circuit products. Defining,
implementing and interfacing with com
puter systems will also be involved. Acti
vities will include support of customer
requirements, scheduling worldwide
production facilities, inventory control,
cost control and interface with engineer
ing, manufacturing and marketing.
To qualify for all positions, you must
have a BS/MS in finance, accounting,
MIS, computer science/business, indus
trial engineering, or MBA. A grade point
of 3.0 (4.0 scale) is preferred.
