yell leaders
Texas A&M. I am also a firm
believer in the fact that is a
person doesn’t take pride in
what he’s doing, then there’s
no way he can be good at it.
A yell leader also has to
have the desire to be the best
and be willing to make many
sacrifices. I’m willing to put
yell leader above everything
else and that means being
both the ambassador and mo
tivator. Texas A&M is a great
university and Aggies are the
best people and our student
leaders should represent this.
I know that with my pride,
desire and therefore my con
fidence, I will be a great yell
leader.
good of the school in the true
spirit of Aggie faith and loy
alty. I want to represent the
entire student body and en
courage everyone to enter
into this spirit.
My goals as yell leader
would be to unite and uphold
that fighting spirit that Ag
gies always display and to
spread it to others so they too
can carry it with them for the
rest of their lives. I also desire
to preserve our Aggie tradi
tions and pass them on untar
nished.
in representing students to
faculty and former students
as well as a firm basis of tradi
tion. Involvement in Off-
Campus Aggies and as the
University’s liason to the Col
lege Station City Council en
ables me to represent student
opinions to the community as
well. This service has been
recognized by the Association
of Fomer Students when they
honored me with the Buck
Weirus Spirit Award.
If you believe the tradition
of this campus should be
upheld and that the campus
needs to be better rep
resented and unified, then

athletic event, both on and
off the field. I will work to be
the best yell leader that I pos
sibly can because I will be rep
resenting you.
I am currently on the
Corps P.R. committee and I
will be a Fish Camp counseler
for the second straight year. I
would feel very privileged if I
was chosen to represent you
— the Twelfth Man.
PAT WALKER
Major: Industrial Distribu
tion
My name is Pat Walker. I
am a sophomore industrial
distribution major from
Houston. I believe that one of
A&M’s greatest traditions is
the spirit and motivation
exemplified by the Twelfth
Man. Given the opportunity,
I feel that as a junior yell
leader, I would be able to rep
resent you, each individual
Aggie, at all public functions
held across the states as well
as encouraging the student
body to lead all the athletic
teams to winning seasons for
the 1984-85 year.
TREY YARBROUGH
Major: Physical Education
The responsibilities of the
yell leaders are many, and re
quire a great deal of hard
work and effort. They rep
resent the University where
ever they go and it is impor
tant that our yell leaders con
stantly strive to be good Ag
gies and uphold or image at
Texas A&M.
To be elected yell leader
would be a dream come true

1) I want to be yell leader. I
have deep interest in this po
sition and feel I can do a very
good job.
2) I’m a natural motivator.
I am actively involved in
MSC Hospitality and with
sophomore class committee.
Traditions at A&M are the
basis for many Aggie activ
ities. Many serve to exemplify
the foundation behind the re
sponsibilities of the yell lead
ers. For bonfire, the cen-
terpole serves as the central
support upon which the
structure is built. I hope that
each Aggie will provide me
with the strong and stable
support on which I can moti
vate and encourage a genuine
desire to “beat the hell” out of
every opponent or obstacle
blocking A&M’s road to suc
cess.
and I know I would do my
very best to meet the stan
dards we all hold for yell
leaders. Currently, I am on
MSC Town Hall, Fish Camp
and a member of the Student
Advisory Council for my de
partment. During my two
short years at Texas A&M I
have learned to love this Uni
versity and all who feel the
same. If I am elected, my
main goal is to try to convince
all the people who are not fa
miliar with A&M what a great
place it really is.
That is what yell leading is all
about.
3) At the present time this
is my primary goal. I also
have goals to better the outfit.
I will work to uphold the tra
dition here at A&M. I also re
alize that change is sometimes
necessary.
Don’t forget
to vote!
