Lassiter: James Bond thought he had it all until Lassiter. Tom Selleck plays the romantic rogue who comes to the aid of his country in this World War II picture. But for the risks he takes, he reaps the ben efits. The benefits? Co-stars Lauren Hutton and Jane Seymour. R. The Right Stuff: This is one of the year's most acclaimed movies. This film gives an account of the birth of America's space program. This film explores the private lives of our early astronauts. It's funny as well as inspiring. PG. Weekend Pass: A movie for all who would enjoy three men in the Navy with their first pass since they enlisted. A low budget film with a great deal of sex, violence and very little plot. R. 6 lame it on Rio: Michael Caine vacations with friend, Joseph Bolo gna, in Rio de Janeiro. Both bring their daughters along, but Bolo gna's daughter makes a play for Caine. A good comedy, but not a great movie. R. Staying Alive: John Travolta re vives his role as Tony Manero, the dancing waiter from Saturday Night Fever. Now Tony waits for his big break as a professional dancer while he tries to handle ro mance with his co-star, Cynthia Rhodes. PG. Friday and Saturday. 7:30 and 9:45. Rudder Theater. Joel learns the power he has when his parents go out of town, and in the process of all of the misadventure he somehow gets himself into Princeton. R. Come Back To The 5 & Dime Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean: In 1975 the James Dean Fan Club of a small West Texas town gathers to commemorate the anniversary of their hero's death. Cher, Karen Black, and Sandy Dennis portray a group of friends, who after twenty years, exchange secrets and confi dences of high school days. PG. Sunday. 7:30. Rudder Theater. $3.00 ... And Justice For All: A1 Pac ino is an ambitious lawyer out to show the corruption and injustice of the U.S. legal system. Footloose: This movie is this year's answer to Flashdance. Kevin Bacon, of Diner fame, stars as the free-style dancer from Chicago who moves to a small town. Of course, he is not welcomed with open arms by the town elders and the town minister is especially repulsed by him. But the minister's daughter has different ideas about the new kid in town. This film will be re membered for the dancing and the music. PG. Manor East 823-8300 The Big Chill: This film truly has the stars of the 80s in it. The plot revolves around college chums of the sixties getting to gether for a reunion and won dering what happened to the good old days. R. ucating Rita: Michael Caine plays a literature professor who feels his life is going nowhere. He meets a woman who wants to learn about literature, and they both want to learn more about each other. Humor on a high level. R. Never Cry Wolf: Walt Disney studios spent two years shooting this film on location in Alaska. It is the story of a man who gives up civilization and moves to the wil derness to study a pack of wolves and to survive in the wild. PG. Plitt Cinema III 846-6714 Post Oak 764-0616 Terms of Endearmemt Shirley Maclaine and Debra Winger star in this picture. It is a bittersweet, co medic story of the relationship be tween a mother and her daughter as they both grow up. R. Unfaithfully Yours: Another Dudley Moore comedy in which a man spends his time thinking up different ways to kill his wife, played by Nastassja T unski, after she supposedly has had an affair. R. wood: Meryl Streep, Kurt Russell, and Cher star in this fact- based story of nuclear plant worker Karen Silkwood. This film is a high light in movie going. Cher does an excellent job in her role in this film. R. 80: A very good film depict ing the life of Playboy model Doro thy Stratten and her power-hungry husband, who eventually killed her. Mariel Hemingway and Eric Roberts star in this superb film di rected by Bob Fosse. R.
