will be from 7 to 8:15 a.m. Satur
day at the Brazos Center for $8
per person. A portion of the
proceeds from the entry fees will
oe given to United Way.
T-shirts will be given to the
first 375 applicants. Everyone is
welcome to enter.
Mark Eddy, president of the
Roadrunners Club, said the race
will have different divisions for
competition.
“Trophies will be given to the
overall male and female win
ners,” Eddy said. “The top five
male and female runners in the
19 and under age group and the
20-29 age group will be given
trophies, and the top three run
ners in the 30-39 age group and
the 40 and over age group will be
awarded trophies as well.”
Water and Gatorade will be
provided for the runners and
Texas A&M Emergency Care
Team will be at the race.
The 10,000 meter run is one
of four races sponsored each
year by the 50-member club.
Eddy said the club members
don’t usually participate in the
events they sponsor, but the club
does compete in three out-of-
town races each semester.
“This semester we’ve already
been to Huntsville,” he said,
“and we’re going to run in the
Dallas White Rock Marathon on
Dec. 4.”
The club’s student and faculty
members pay a fee of $10 per
year or $6 per semester to cover
the costs of entry fees and trans
portation to the out-of-town
races.

An extra 2,520 seats will be
available at Kyle Field for the
Texas A&M-University of
Texas football game Nov. 26.
Tickets for the temporary seats
are on sale now. Student tickets
go on sale today.
Folding chairs will be placed
on the track and movable
bleachers will be placed behind
the end zone in anticipation of a
sell-out crowd.
Jim Kotch, athletic ticket
manager, says 1,920 temporary
ground-level chairs will be
placed on the track. The
bleachers will create an addi
tional 600 seats. The $12 tickets
can be purchased at the entr
ance to G. Rollie White Col
iseum.
Kotch said the tickets have
been selling well. Even the 3,000
tickets returned from the 12,000
batch that was sent to UT sold
out quickly, he said. The only
tickets left are student tickets.
People who buy a ticket for
the temporary seating area must
sign a note acknowledging that
they were advised of the poor
viewing location of the seats.
Kotch said the people won’t be
able to demand a refund be
cause they couldn’t see well.
The chairs will be set up on
both sides of the areas reserved
for the football teams.
Kotch said there will be other
changes for the UT game. The
changes are as follows:
• Student tickets are available
on a new schedule. Seniors and
graduates pick up their tickets
today, juniors Friday, sopho
mores Monday and freshmen
Tuesday. Ticket windows will be
open at the coliseum from 7 a.m.
to 4 p.m. on those days.
• More emphasis will be
placed on catching people who
use stolen or lost ticket books.
Kotch said the ticket office has a
list of the numbers of the mis
sing ticket books and will check
the students’ ticket books as they
give out tickets. If a missing book
is found, it will be confiscated
and returned to the owner, he
said.
