An Officer and a Gentleman and 48 Hours: A strange double feature. Officer stars Richard Gere and Debra Winger in a modem love story. 48 Hours stars Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte. Rated R. ^jelig: Woody Allen has a new movie and critics seem to think that perhaps this is the best Allen film to date. Reports are that some of the traditional Allen concepts have be gun to change starting with this film. Rated R. Rocky Horror Picture Show: A classic cult film where the hero is a transsexual who delights in corrupt ing the innocent. This film is a won derful social commentary and spoof on horror films. Post Oak: 764-0616 Risky Business: A delightful change of pace as far as teen-age adventures go. This particular film has wit and charm despite a few plot problems. Probably one of the most underrated films of the summer and fall. Rated R. Waite Across Texas: This is a new one on me. You'll have to see it to find out what it's about. Rated PG. Ayear of Living Dangerously: Mel Gibson and Sigoumy Weaver star in this movie about a journalist in Indonesia during a civil war. Rated R. Schulman Six 775-2468 Th e Golden Seal: A family-type adventure about a little boy and a seal. Rated PG. ]V£r. Mom: A new movie with no new ideas. The movie is what hap pens when daddy stays at home and mommy goes to work. Rated R. Beyond the Limit: Richard Gere and Micheal Caine star in this just released film about two men in love with the same woman and how she influences them. The setting of the film is Argentina. If it's like other Gere films, there should be plenty of flesh scenes. Rated R. Revenge of the Ninja: One of the endless Kung-fu movies that must be endured during any movie season. Rated R. Th e Big Chill: A promising new movie. The story's about college buddies drifting apart. In college they all had been the non conformists, but they now have be come members of the establish ment. Rated R. Trading Places: Eddie Murphy and Dan Akroyd star in this humor ous prince-and-the-pauper story. These two talents come together to make one of the funniest comedies released this summer. High Rider: Sounds like a motor cycle movie, but not sure. Rated R. Vacation '83: Don't have to go far to see this. Rated R. The Man With Two Brains: Steve Martin stars as a very accom plished neurosurgeon who marries a patient. The drawback is that while on vacation Martin falls in love with a brain.
