Page 4/The Battalion/Thursday, October 6,1983 Anything goes today at Main Drill Field by Tricia Parker Battalion Reporter Almost anything might hap pen on the Main Drill Field at the Almost Anything Goes con test today at 5 p.m. The contest in which nearly 500 students are expected to participate, is not just for fun. Proceeds from the event will go to the United Way, said Karen Bloch, the Residence Hall Asso ciation’s program director. The RHA-sponsored contest raised more than $400 last year; this year’s goal is $750. The contest which is mainly a competition between the dormi tories, but for an entry fee of $ 15 per team, anyone can enter a five man, five woman team. The contest consists of five uniquely athletic events. In the first, squeeze box, team mem bers try to squeeze each other into a 2-by-2-foot box in the shortest amount of time. The second, Aggies over easy, entails passing an Aggie face-down over a line of team members. The third event, water vol leyball, is played not in a pool but on the drill field with water bal loons. The fourth event is fried flipper, a relay race involving an egg and plenty of grace and coordination. The grand finale, is a compli cated relay race combining speed and grace with contes tants’ yoga-like contortions. The winner will be the team with the lowest overall score and all team members will receive T- shirts. Sixty teams are expected to compete.
