As for the Aggie scoring, shortstop Carrie Austgen led off the top of the first inning with a single and went to second on a fielder’s choice by Cindy Foster. Second baseman Patti Holth- aus, the No. 3 hitter, singled Au stgen to third, and Austgen scored on the same play when the SHSU center fielder com mitted an error. In the top of the sixth, Texas A&M scored its final run when, with two outs, Holthaus tripled and scored on Cindy Cooper’s RBI single. If Roberts does not return, sophomore center Jimmie Gilbert would lie the lone returning starter. Anderson, however, is reportedly considering Mary land and Rice also. Brown might sign with the Lamar Cardinals.
