Black History month features one-man dramatic presentation As one stop in a 32-city tour, the African American Drama Company of California will be presenting the drama "Can I Speak For You Brother?" Tues day at 8 p.m. in Rudder Forum. "Can I Speak For You Brother?" is a one-man show de picting the lives of nine great black leaders including Martin Luther King, Frederick Doug lass, Malcolm X, Haki Madhu- buti (Don L. Lee), and High John. The play is being presented by MSC Black Awareness Com mittee as a part of several activi ties planned for Black History month. Tickets for the play are on sale at the MSC Box Office. They are $2 for students and $3 for non students. All characters in the produc tion are protrayed by Phillip E. Walker. During the past three years, Walker has served on the staff of the California Arts Council. He has a degree in acting from the University of California-Davis and has appeared in several plays across the country. "Can I Speak For You Brother?" is directed by Ethel Walker, an 18-year theater veteran. She earned her Ph.D. in theater history-criticism from the University of Missouri- Columbia and taught theater at Lincoln University of Missouri, the University of Illinois- Urbana, Southern University and Oakland California's Laney College. Walker's directing credits in clude several plays and also a production "Tales of Blackfolk." Other events scheduled for Black Awareness month include the film Malcolm X to be shown in Rudder Tower Feb. 2, an Afri can art exhibit in the MSC Gal lery Feb. 7 through 18 and sever al Black Awareness Forums throughout the month.
