The Texas A&M Debate
Team won second place overall
in the Southwest Conference
Debate Tournament held here
Friday and Saturday.
Baylor University was the
overall winner in the tourna
ment. The University of Texas
and Texas Tech University also
competed in the annual tourna
ment.
Speaker awards were pre
sented to Texas A&M students
Ruby Daniels, who took second
place for the affirmative team,
and Jeff Rouse, who won fourth
place for the negative team.

The University of Texas won
