The Aggie Ladies were led by Michelle Tatum, who scored 18 points, and Jenni Edgar and Lynette Joiner who finished with 17 points each. Texas A&M meets the Texas Lady Longhorns Saturday, beginning at 1:30. The men’s track team finished first in the ninth annual Sooner Relays on Saturday. Coach Charlie Thomas’ squad ended the meet with 102 points, 1/2 of a point ahead of Baylor, to capture the championship. A total of 10 Aggies scored in four of five field events to pace Texas A&M. The meet came down to the final event, the pole vault, and the Aggies got second and third place finishes from f reshman Mark Bruce and senior Rob Mont gomery to overtake the Bears. Gil bert’s 16 points Saturday were a career-high for the Huntsville native ... It seems the Aggies are finally starting to play the kind of basketball coach Shelby Met calf likes.
