Gretna bus driver shot United Press International Authorities say a woman un happy to find herself on the wrong bus cursed out the driver, pulled a .22 magnum from her purse and shot him to death as he guided the vehicle out into traffic. Jefferson Parish sheriffs de puties called it a “totally sense less murder.” Witnesses said Suzie Stewart, 26, boarded the bus with her daughter just before noon Mon day and got into an argument with the driver when he in formed her of his route. “He told her he didn’t go that way,” said Sherrel Marshall, one of 14 passengers who watched the incident in horror as the bus pulled away from the stop. “She was arguing with him and he told her to get off the bus. He said ‘You can get off anyw here, mam.’ She said a lot of bad language and then she just started shooting.” The driver of the Marrero bound bus for Westside Transit was identified as Benjamin Forbes, 55.
