students are buying them. They

The cards were ordered from
a Fort Worth company, Brow

store has had the cards forabout
a month and Camp said that
they are selling well.
“Mostly members of the
Corps are buying them, but
other students are too,” she said.
Camp also said that no one has
become irate about the cards but
she said she was sure some peo
ple would not like them.
Hood said that he had heard
about the cards but had not seen
one.
“No one spoke to me or asked
me about them,” Hood said. “I
just want the whole situation to
die. I don’t receive the negative
side of the situation. I receive
the positive side, but other peo
ple get the brunt of what I did. I
have neither bad nor good feel

Starved adopted horses
to be placed in homes
United Press International
BROWNSBORO — Weather
permitting, a portion of a herd
of wild horses adopted by an east
Texas man under a federal
program and found starving on
his leased pasture were destined
for new homes today.
John Gumert, regional chief
of public affairs for the Interior
Department, said 30 of the
animals considered healthy
enough for travel would be
turned over to new owners to
day if the weather was fair.
The remaining herd of
horses taken off land near Pitt
sburg leased to rancher Joe Cor
bett will be kept at the Fund for
Animals farm near Brownsboro,
30 miles west of Tyler, until they
are healthy enough to travel,
Gumert said.
The animals were taken away
from Corbett last month after
hunters ran across the emaci
ated herd scattered across Cor
bett’s pasture.
