second team academic all-
America team. Johnson, a native

three-year starter for the

administration major. She is also
a President’s Endowed Scholar
and a National Merit Scholar
Finalist ... The men’s basketball
team won’t be the only Aggies
playing over the Christmas
break. The Aggie Ladies will
travel to Las Vegas, Nev., to play
Idaho State and University of
Nevada at Las Vegas Saturday
and Sunday. The Ladies begin
SWC play against UH on Jan. 4

the Cowboys will try to clinch
their 17th consecutive winning
year—something no other team
in the history of pro football has

The Cowboys, rolling toward
their 16th playoff apperance
over that 17-year stretch, take

meeting of the clubs that were

Houston coach Ed Biles, whose
club is 1-4 and probably must
win its remaining four games if
it has any hope of making it into
the expanded playoffs. "And
frankly we are striving to get
ours into that type of situation.
“To beat Dallas we are going
to have to play the best possible
game than we can.”
Dallas is 4-1 and going into
this weekend’s round of games
was one of only three NFL teams
to have won all of its post-strike
contests.
Houston, meanwhile, is re
turning home after two dismal
weeks on the road. The Oilers
were an easy victim against New
England two weeks ago and last
weekend they gave up two late
touchdowns to the New York
Giants and lost a game they
seemed certain to win.
