“If they want to put their tests

they can make a copy and give
that,” he said.
Student Government will not
use dorm files as sources be
cause those quizzes may be out
of date, McClellon said.
“The library only keeps the
quizzes for two years,” he said.

Actress enjoys
playing ‘Annie’
by Dana Smelser
Battalion Staff
Although she’s the star of the
award-winning Broadway
musical “Annie,” 10-year-old
Kathleen Sisk is nothing more
than a little girl who happens to
like doing musicals.
“After I saw ‘Annie’ when I
was seven, I knew I wanted to be
an Annie one day,” Sisk said in a
phone interview.
So, when she was “disco
vered” by a New York talent
agency, they immediately sent
her to the “Annie” auditions,
and Sisk was on her way.
Sisk, starring in her first ma
jor role, will show her talents
tonight, Tuesday and Wednes
day at 8 p.m. in Rudder Audi
torium. A matinee performance
also will be held Wednesday at 3
p.m. The musical is sponsored
by MSC Town Hall.
After competing with 100
other potential Annie’s, Sisk was
chosen and began working on
her role.
Her job requires her to travel,
but Sisk seems to enjoy the
change from everyday school
life.
“I love to travel and I’m get
ting to see some really neat cities,
like Stratford and Montreal,”
Sisk said. On the road, she and
the other girls, who play the
orphans in the show, do what all
little girls do.
“I just got back from a
sleepover with the other
orphans,” Sisk explained. “We
played cards and told stories.”
Sisk said that they were going
to the zoo later in the day.
But, being on the road doesn’t
excuse Sisk and the other girls
from doing their homework.
“\Ve have a tutor and we try to
do four hours (of class) a day,”
she said. “Sometimes wfe don’t,
though.”
When she is not on the road,
Sisk is a fifth grade student in
Madison, Conn., where she lives
with her parents and five
brothers and sisters. Her
mother travels with her.
“They’re all pretty excited ab
out me doing the role,” Sisk said.
Tickets for the musical are on
sale at the MSC Box Office for
$14.50, $16.50 and $18.50. For
more information call 845-1234.
Christmas spirit
on the campus
by Patti Schwierzke
Battalion Reporter
’Tis the season to be jolly at
Texas A&M. This week, the
MSC Christmas Program Com
mittee has planned events to
bring cheer to all Aggies.
And since Christmas is a time
to spread goodwill, that’s the
main goal of the committee.
The Christmas Committee
sent letters to former students
asking them to send ornaments
to represent their class. The
ornaments will hang on the
Christmas tree in the MSC
lounge. So far, about 20 orna
ments have been received, with
the oldest one from a member of
the Class of 1908.
Events the committee has
planned for the week start today
and include:
— T he Stacked Deck Quar
tet, whose singers are members
of the Century Singers, will start
the program by performing in
the MSC lounge beginning at
noon.
— The Residence Hall Asso
ciation will go Christmas carol
ing on campus beginning at 6:45
p.m. Carolers will meet at the
Lawrence Sullivan Ross statue in
front of the Academic Building.
They plan to carol at the dormi
tories and also at President
Frank E. Vandiver’s home.
— At 8 p.m. in the MSC
lounge, the Christmas tree light
ing ceremony will begin. Van
diver and Miss TAMU, Gina
Geiger, will be guests at the cere
mony. The Singing Cadets will
give a Christmas music concert
during the ceremony.
On Tuesday:
— The Revelliers will sing
“The Twelve Days of Christ
mas” and other Christmas carols
in the MSC lounge. The concert
will begin at noon.
On Wednesday:
— the Women’s Chorus will
end the Christmas programs by
performing a medley of Christ
mas carols at noon in the MSC
lounge.

quizzes and not only sort them
into courses, but also watch and
throw out all the older ones.”
The file, which may be used
by any student with a Texas
A&M I.D. card, is getting a lot of
use, he said. The only complaint
is that it is too small.
Because a few professors have
objected to the quiz file, Student
Government asks that tests be
donated only if there is no objec
tion from the professor. In addi
tion, the committee asks that no
departmental tests be contri
buted.
