Williams, a guard, was the leading scorer in the SEC last season, and has been picked pre season all-SEC this year. Delaney averaged 10.3 points a game and 3 rebounds a game last season. The Gators’ Rodney Williams and Tony Rogers also have been suspended. Sports writers covering the SEC have picked the Gators, coached by Norm Sloan, to fin ish 10th in the conference this season. In 30 years as a head coach, Sloan has a record of 494- 302, while at Florida for the past eight years, he’s 102-101. Washington has been picked to finish anywhere from fifth to seventh in the Pacific 10 Confer ence this season, while UCLA and Oregon State should battle for the title.
