Battalion Staff
, Construction on the 1982
bonfire will be slightly behind
schedule when push starts next
week, but it should be larger
than last year’s bonfire because'
more wood was cut this fall,
head civilian junior Mark Hack-
:feld says.
Hackfeld, an accounting ma
jor from Abilene, said work on
the stack is slightly behind sche
dule because of a lack of
workers.
The late afternoon to early
morning hours have been the
most active, Hackfeld said.
Corps workers usually come ab
out 4 p.m. and civilians at about
7 p.m. They usually quit around
2 a.m., but redpots and others
stay all night.
Hackfeld said he expects a lot
of workers to come out to work
during push week, which starts
Monday. Push week is the
E eriod when construction on the
onfire is continuous; it starts
the week before bonfire burns.
Flyers giving information ab
out push week will go up in dor
mitories soon and Corps staff
will coordinate a schedule to
maximize help from the Corps.
An open house for faculty and
staff will be held from 12 p.m. to
5 p.m. on Wednsday. The open
