Extra practice paid off for the
Texas A&M women’s volleyball
team Wednesday night as the
Aggie Ladies ripped Texas
Tech with a three game sweep in
G. Rollie White Coliseum.
Led by freshman Sherri
Brinkman, the Aggie Ladies
solidified their Southwest Con
ference lead by defeating the
Raiders, 15-8, 15-1, 15-6, to ex
tend their record to 20-4 on the
season and 5-0 in conference ac
tion.
Texas A&M coach Terry
Condon said the Aggies are at a
point in the season where they
cannot afford to take any of
their SWC opponents lightly.
“Anyone can win on any
given night,” Condon said,
echoing her comments after
Monday’s victory over Rice.
The 18th-ranked Aggie
Ladies will host Southern Illi

Battalion Staff
Over the past eight years, the
Bryan High football team has
been one of the most successful

But you wouldn’t know it if you
looked at the Vikings’ trophy

Bryan has nary a district title
to show for its success.
The major cause of the Vik
ings’ shattered championship
hopes lies 100 miles west of
Bryan in the form of the Temple
