Cathryn Hughes of Abilene, and Frank Abbott of Longview, will be honored at noon with a luncheon at Briarcrest Country Club. The freshmen were chosen by the Student Government at the request of the Chamber of Commerce, said Dr. Malon Southerland, chairman of the University Committee of the Chamber of Commerce. “This is the business com munity’s way of saying welcome and thanks to the students of Texas A&M,” he said.
