The last show of Piranhacon III is Evil Brain from Outer Space in which a dying scientific genius discovers a way to preserve his brain after his death. The Academy Award winner On Golden Pond is the story of a couple marking their 48th year together during a sum mer stay at Golden Pond. The Academy Awards were for best actor (Henry Fon da), best actress (Katharine Hepburn) and best screenplay adaption. Also stars Jane Fonda. PG. Still hanging on after ages and ages is Raiders of The Lost Ark, which won an Academy Award for best film editing. PG. The Sword and The Sorcerer is a mystical film about, as the title suggests, a sorcerer and a sword. The plot thickens when we find out what the sorcerer does with the sword. It 7 s probably not the same movie you might think — it's rated R. John Savage plays a computer technician in The Amateur. He gets into the espion age business in order to avenge the mur der of his girlfriend in this thriller co- starring Christopher Plummer and Marthe Keller. R. Chariots of Fire is the Academy Award winner for best picture and is a touching story of two men's quest to run in the 1924 Olympics. If you want to know what Fury of Succubus is about, look up the word succubus in the dictionary and you'll have a pretty good idea. But if you're not that interested here's a hint: it's obsecene. R. Scott and Timothy Hutton, is a story about the devoted corp of cadets of a military school who take on the tasks of fighting off land sharks, while the outside world watches the confrontation with the news media. Quest For Fire is the story of a prehistoric tribe and their slow transi tion into civilization. The characters act like real animals. One of Richard Pryor's better films. Deathtrap stars Michael Caine, Dyan Cannon and Christopher Reeve in the film version of Ira Levin's Broadway smash hit. PG. Manor East: 823-8300. cat People is a remake of the classic 1942 film about creatures who transmute from people to panthers. Natassia Kinski is a virgin who doesn't realize she's a cat person. But when she gets violent in the zoo, her origin is obvious. Starring Malcolm McDowell. R. Partners stars Ryan O'Neal and John Hurt as two people who work together as — partners. This rated R movie has a combination of sex, violence and of course, nudity. Paradise is a Blue Lagoon rip-off, this time taking place in the Middle East. Willie Aames (of Eight is Enough) and Phoebe Cates star in the romantic adventure story of the pair's travels across the desert and their "discovery" of each other. Rated R. The Arts Council of Brazos Valley will present an exhibit entitled "A Women's Summeray: Artisric Texas Pioneers," on loan from the Institute of Texas Cultures in San Antonio through June 15. Also the council will presetn "Images of Aging, A Juired Art Show," open to all area artists, complying with theme on aging, on display at the Brazos Center.
