With gun theft in Brazos
County an increasing problem,
Crime Stoppers is asking for
help in Finding a burglar or
burglars whose prime targets
are weapons.
Between 11:45 a.m. and 4
p.m. April 15, someone forced
open the front door of a trailer
house on Democrat Road in
Kurten and took three guns.
Stolen were one .253 Remington
model 700, one poly choke
Mossberg pump shotgun with a
26-inch barrel, one .22 Ross Gal-
leri pump rifle and one Weaver
K-4 scope. On the barrel of each
gun is the the driver’s license
number 4555763. A 10 1/2-inch
mud grip tire track believed to
be from the vehicle used in the
theft was found at the scene.
Crime Stoppers will pay
$1,000 for any information
leading to the arrest and grand
jury indictment of those respon
sible for this crime or any other
unsolved felony. Anyone with
information can call Crime
Stoppers at 775-TIPS. Callers
will be given a special coded
number so they won’t have to
reveal their identities.
