Still another combined schools into five systems based on the existing systems. This proposal would have placed Texas Tech in the Texas A&M System. The sheer size of Texas, however, required some form of state-wide coordination, Hubert said. “We’ve got just about every kind of institution, and 1 think some coordination is obviously needed,” he said. “There’s another proposal — I don’t know whether this com mittee discussed it or not — which I think has some merit. That would be to have only two systems in the state — the Uni versity of Texas and Texas FOR SALE hi Yamaha .\S-4()0 only 2200 miles POO. call after 7:00, 693-4353. rnqig Must sell 1975 Honda I75XL. There’s nothing in there that I know of that is just patently im practical on its face.” The report also states regents serving now on university or sys tem board would serve until their terms expired. After that time, the report recommends the establishment of guidelines to prohibit two regents from the same state senatorial district from serving on the same board. Opposition was expressed to the plan by some task force members. Raster said one task force member, Bernard John son, did not mind grouping uni versities into systems, but ob jected to the geographic basis for reorganization.
