Remissions lasted from two to eight years. The 92 percent remission rate meant only one patient re lapsed. Fifty percent of the patients on the MOPP and ABVD com bination treatment suffered se vere vomiting, and 10 percent had hair loss. MOPP stands for mech- lorethamine, vincristine (trade name Oncovin), procarbazine and prednisone. ABVD is dox orubicin (Adriamycin), bleomy cin, vinblastine and dacarbazine. Bonadonna said further stu dies will hav e to be done to con firm the results and suggested an independent study in a larger clinical trial.
