Customers replaced workers Wednesday during the
grand opening of Post Oak Mall in College Station.
Table tops and plants were just some of the finishing
touches made in the last week to get the mall ready.
Above, shoppers rest in the Gourmet Food Court, which
seats 300 and contains 15 food emporiums. Left, Chris

ties. Coupons for various drawings at Dillard’s promp
ted many hurried sorting stops throughout the store.
From front to back, Elsie Dorsey, Frances Brittain and
Susie Ivey sort their collection. One of the prominent
features of the mall is a spraying fountain, which is
located at the east end of the mall. The 800,000 square-
foot mall has three department stores and more than 80
smaller stores. At least 20 additional stores will be open
ing later this year.
