Darrell Walker was ejected from
the game for hitting Texas’ Ray
Harper, while scuffles took
place between Longhorn coach
Abe Lemons, his players and
Arkansas fans al ter the game.
The Southwest Conference
said Sunday that it would need
more time before a decision can
be made on the incident involv
ing Walker’s ejection. The 6-4
guard scored 24 points in the
Razorbacks’ 64-63 victory over
the Aggies Jan. 26, hitting a 21-
foot jumper at the buzzer to

A&M tennis teams still unbeaten

The Texas A&M men’s and
women’s tennis teams w’on
meets Friday and Saturday
against Stephen F. Austin State
University and Southwest Texas
State University to remain unde
feated in pre-conference play.
The men have won their first
five meets of the season and did
not lose a match against SFASU.
Brian Joelson won the num
ber one singles match, 6-0, 6-2,
over Jack Sheehy.
Ron Kowal teamed with Tom
Judson to win the number one
doubles match against Sheehy
and Steve Riza, 6-0, 5-7, 6-2.

the end of a disheartening sea
son, lost 70-60 to Arkansas Fri
day night, but continued their
recent stretch of strong play.
Coach Cherri Rapp’s squad
started the season by winning its
first three games, but with only
one regular-season game re
maining, the Ladies have an 8-
18 record. However, the Texas
A&M coach says she still consid
ers the upcoming TAIAW state
tournament to be the most im
portant event on the Aggie
Ladies’ schedule.
