Summer was a long time ago, you know. It still stars Harrison Ford as In diana Jones and Karen Allen as his fiesty female companion. Rated PG. Time Bandits: A fictional-kid movie for adults about a little boy who gets mixed up with six dwarfs who have a map which shows holes in time, where one can step into the Middle Ages or onto the deck of the Titanic. Strange but interesting. Starring a zany cast of characters includ ing Shelly Duvall, Sean Con nery, Ian Holm and directed by Terry Gilliam. (Monty Python fans rejoice!) George Harrison provides the musical score. Buddy Buddy: Billy Wilder di rects Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau in a black comedy ab out a Mafia hit man and a suicid al television executive. Sounds like a cross between two box- office favorites: “The God father" and “Network." Rated R. Stripes: Bill Murray stars in this cross between "Private Ben jamin" and "Animal House." He plays a cabbie who enlists while in a rut over his going- nowhere life and ends up form ing his own brigade and teaching his troops everything he knows. Midnight Friday and Saturday. Rated R. MSC Cepheid Variable 845-1515 The Ghost & Mr. Chicken: Don Knotts stars as a typesetter who wants to be a reporter and consequently stumbles into a murder ease. Knotts is hilarious in his attempts to swallow his fear. Rated G. Thursday at 7:30 and 9:45 p.m. in room 601 Rudder. MSC Aggie Cinema 845-2916 The Jazz Singer: Neil Diamond stars as a young Jew ish songwriter who, over the ob jections of his father, played by Laurence Olivier, leaves his wife to go to Hollywood. There he is thrust into stardom by rock promoter Lucie Arnaz. The soundtrack to this musical is the best part about it. Friday at 8:00 p.m. in Rudder Auditorium. Rated PG. Plitt Cinema I&II: 846-6714 Rollover: Kris Kristofferson and Jane Fonda are two wheel er-dealers in the world of high conspiracy of international con sequence. But the previews look like all sex and no conspiracy. Maybe that's what the consequ ence is all about. Directed by Alan J. Pakula. Rated R. An American Werewolf in London: Expect to alternately laugh and be sick. Writer- director John Landis created this weird story of a werewolf, com plete with full moons and man- in to-fur transformations. David Naughton plays the werewolf. Jenny Agutter stars as the were wolf's — friend? Rated R. IVlonty Python and the Holy Grail: The Monty Python troupe has cut loose on the knights of the round table in this comdey farce. It offers an interesting twist to the old story of The Quest for the Holy Grail. Rated R. Midnight Friday and Saturday. izards: The time is ten mil lion years in the future and two brothers, one good and one bad, both possesing magical powers, fight a battle of good and evil in this Ralph Bakshi animation. With voices of Mark Hamill, Bob Holt and Jesse Wells. Midnight Friday and Saturday. Rated PG. Backstage: No bands are sche duled for this week, but enjoy the 4-7 happy hour with 35<t draft beer, $2 pitcher beer and half-price drinks and food. The kitchen stays open till 10:30.
