State THE BATTALION WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 1981 Page ig Plant move would be long, costly United Press International GOLDEN, Colo. — A pre liminary study by the U.S. De partment of Energy says it would take 10 to 15 years and cost more than $2 billion to move the Rocky Flats nuclear weapons plant to another location. The study, which made no re commendations, was conducted to gather information on a possible relocation of the facility. The study, released Monday, concluded it would cost $1.6 bil lion to relocate that part of the Rocky Flats plant that uses radioactive plutonium. If the these operations were moved, the study said the most suitable areas for the relocation would be south ern Texas, southwestern Wyom ing or eastern Utah. The study also concluded that the Golden fault, which underlies Rocky Flats, is inactive and will produce only one earthquake in 450 years. It said no other geologic features in the area were potential seismic hazards. Got the dissertation blues? You finally finished your masterpiece. But now you need to type it, copy it and bind it. Vets get help for nightmares United Press International SAN ANTONIO — Veterans who continually dream of the hor rors of killing women and children (luring the Vietnam conflict can get rid of their nightmares by analyzing them, a psychiatrist said Tuesday. "By analyzing their dreams, you can find how they (dreams) are really an unconscious history of Vietnam,” said Dr. Harry Wil- mer, a psychiatrist at the Univer sity of Texas Health Science Center. “There seems to be a great many repetitive dreams dealing with killing women and children. That destruction happens in every war, but this time soldiers were killing women and children who were going to kill them.” Wilmer, 65, has been treating Vietnam veterans suffering from psychological trauma at the Audie L. Murphy Veterans Hospital. He said analyzing the vets’ dreams has given him clues to resolving cer tain recurring nightmares com mon to many men who were in combat during the Vietnam con flict. The psychiatrist said most of his patients were men about 32 years old who were hurt by failing to receive a hero’s welcome when they returned from Vietnam. “They felt a great deal of patriot ism in serving their duties,” he said, “but disillusionment occur red when they returned to the Un ited states and received no wel come home or a pat on the back. “Many are coming to their mid life crisis and they are trying to evaluate things they’ve done in their lives. It is hard to forget the violence they encountered in Vietnam. Wilmer said he had cured and helped to end the nightmares of about 75 percent of his patients who suffered from post-war de pression. i ^MnOatti The Best Pizza In Town!
