report that he pressured the
Reagan administration into nomi
nating his wife to preside over an
agency and into saving the agency
from budget extinction.

nominated to head the Institute of
Museum Services, which proces-

any pressure to bear on the admin-
stration selection process,’ Tower
said Wednesday.
